Each performance exudes beauty, grace, elegance and femininity. Our slow performances are delicate, alluring, deliberate and flowing, while our fast performances are powerful, energetic, earthy and primal. Performances also prove to be more than just entertainment as we convey a sense of cultural unity, diversity and harmony as varied as the movements and dance we express. Unforgettable, unique performances can be engineered to each clients' needs. Purely tribal style, choreography, dynamic group improvisation and all variations thereof, create memorable experiences for the audience and client.

Performances range from 15 to 30 minutes and have the optional inclusion of a basic tutorial with audience participation.

Performance Styles Offered:

American Tribal Style

See the style that started the tribal fusion craze! American Tribal Style (ATS) features Group Improvisational Dance, where the entire troupe performs an improvised dance that is created in the moment, right before the eyes of our audience. To the untrained eye, it might look like choreography, but do not be fooled, it's not. The dance features both slow and fast performances and typically utilizes traditional and semi-traditional folkloric music. However, special music styles can be requested.

Tribal Fusion

Tribal Fusion is a style that has come to mean anything with roots in ATS but not strictly ATS. This could be part choreography, or a heavier influence of more modern dance styles such as Hip Hop, or ancient styles such as African dance. This style of performance can also encompass both fast and slow performances. Typically, music not traditional to belly dance is used.

Gothic Belly Dance (Raks Gothique)

Indulge your darker side! This style of dance draws on spirituality and sensuality. While the fashion and current fads tend to focus on death and mourning, this dance celebrates the sacred and spiritual, or mystical and enigmatic. If you are are naturally drawn to spirituality, or just the mystical beauty of the vampire this could be your performance style of choice. Gothic belly dance does not necessarily mean all black and slow depressing moves, however, this is not the performance where you'll see us in bright candy colored costumes. And, likewise, the music will reflect more emotional, down tempo or mysterious sounds. Also, while faster music can bring some of our fast moves, this is not typically performed as group improvisation, and is not simply ATS in black.
